This is just great..love the off model Mr Men like the animation was..also the voice over is a bit like Arther Lowes..
Brought back lots of good memories..

Also liked the Postman Pat one before...it was even recorded on video tape to give the same look..

As said before my Grandma used to save these for me...I would cut them out and stick them in my scrap book..in a very messy way.hey I was a child..:) a very happy child..

It was interesting to hear...

The bit that stood out was the Mr Men brand being sold off..But I still felt sad..seems like everything is sold off these days to companies abroad. e.g Cadburys..

Though the company has at least used the product to make new things like The Mr Men Show. Sooty was bought out at one stage and no new products, tv shows were made...so glad it was bought by someone who will use them Richard Cadell.

The poses are all the same..walking to the left..same background..same smile..and the shoes are very copied from Mr Clumsy and Little Miss Splendid..these adverts need Roger Hargreaves he would of done a much more fun job..

Its amazing how ugly this looks..those ugly teeth the boring poses some are in the same postion.

Just shows how the original Mr Men by Roger Hargreaves is so appealing in contrast to these copy clones.

The Mr Men ABC book

What a great book it is...love the fact it doesn't take itself too serious..
i.e todays educational books for children are too over thinked..
young kids have to learn and it must be mostly serious.
It hasn't been worked out by a committe what is important for todays kids..what is taboo and should be avoided, what could upset, alienate some children and are too hard for small children to understand.

I like the fact it is just good fun and some letters are just basically good fun like Z is for sleeping!
A nice Union Jack flag for Q is for Queen.
SH is for She and no mention of H is for He in the H section...
The funny image of Mr Happy with lipstick kiss on his cheek...
F is for Fat..:)
U is for Ugly a worm speaks out with a frown..
also love the Sun talking S is for Sun.
Its also nice that small words are also used like U is for Us, O is for On, Off and One.

Its nice how the letter fills the page with the Mr Men all around it.
A book that should be reprinted.
